Swapping out your faulty charger for our Amperor MV4/180C Charger

Running on from our blog update on how to change the faulty charger with the Amperor MV3/180C, if you have the MV4/180C and wish to replace, please read on to find out how

1. Remove Dc terminals from housing

First remove the tab terminals from the 3-way housing using a small terminal screwdriver. the retaining tab will need to be pushed back, at the same time pull the wire from the back of the moulding. Make sure to note which cable is positive and negative. The third cable is not required and cab be taped up. This terminal is normally used to indicate on the control panel when the charger is switched on, but this feature is not provided on the MV4/180C

2. Connect terminals to MV4/180C

Connect the positive and negat ive terminals to the MV4 unit, make sure the polarity is correct. We recommend covering the terminals with an insulating sleeve or tape to stop them from shorting onto the casing of the unit

3. Modify & connect AC input cable

Firstly connect a covered junction box to cable provided with the Mv4. Next cut off the existing 3-way plug on the vehicle harness. Finally connect the Ac input cable to the other side of the junction box. The unit can now be turned on and tested
